Since 2003, Alessandro Tardino has studied at the “Accademia Pianistica Internazionale di Imola ‘Incontri col Maestro’” under Franco Scala, Michel Dalberto, and Enrico Pace.
He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at various festivals across Europe. His concert with the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra in Milan, held as part of a Chopin festival, was broadcast live on television.
In 2012, he won the “Concours International de Piano de Lyon.”
Together with violinist Egidius Streiff, he recorded a DVD featuring the music of Max Reger for Fugue State Films in 2016, receiving enthusiastic reviews. The BBC Music Magazine awarded it the title of “DVD of the Year.”
Tardino has regularly worked as an accompanist in Pierre Amoyal’s classes at the summer courses of the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Académie de Musique Riviera in Vevey, Switzerland. He is a répétiteur at the Basel Academy of Music and the Basel Music School and offers private piano lessons in Basel. Additionally, he teaches piano at the Goppisberg Music Festival and Academy in Spiez.
As a certified HCE (Human Connections Engineering) Science Specialist, Alessandro Tardino combines his skills as a coach and musician. He offers sessions for musicians to optimize their potential using a unique methodology based on scientific principles.
In addition to his work as a pianist, he is also active as a composer. In 2024, he was commissioned to compose a work for piano and orchestra, which he premiered with the Neues Orchester Basel under the direction of Christian Knüsel.
